The members of C.M.S. REACT participate in a number of different training sessions throughout the year and we are always continually training our members to keep their skills up.  Below is just some of the different training our members may receive.

NIMS - All of our members have completed the ICS 100 and 700 online courses through FEMA.  In addition, all of our team officers' and most of our team members have completed the ICS 200 and 800 online courses.

Traffic Control - Traffic control training for our team has been provided by William Reisterer, Police Chief of the Village of Valders.  All of our members have been through his four hour class, including on-street practice.  Our team has also done both on and off street traffic control and parking for numerous community events.

Due to numerous factors, our search and rescue program has been suspended for now.  Please contact our team President for more information.

Search and Rescue - All of our members have been to at least two team search and rescue training exercises.  We hold our exercises several times a year in both the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest and on private land.  During these exercises our members are continually trained on numerous things including proper evidence collection, map and compass skills, clue detection and preservation, lost person behavior and basic search tactics.  In addition, our Team President is certified through the National Association for Search and Rescue to the level of SAR Tech III.

Other Training - Many of our members have participated in various other training throughout the past couple of years as well.  This includes training in Skywarn storm spotting, net control , proper GPS usage, ICS, first aid, public event security and more.
