Calumet - Manitowoc - Sheboygan REACT

Due to numerous factors, our search and rescue program has been suspended for now.  Please contact our team President for more information.

One of the major functions that C.M.S. REACT performs is providing search and rescue assistance and manpower.  Our team does this under the direction of local law enforcement agencies, who are in charge of the searches.  Our team is there to assist law enforcement with our trained searchers as well as helping to organize groups of civilian searchers who want to help out, but have no formal training.

When allowed to take the lead in organizing civilian search groups, we take pressure off the other public safety agencies on scene, allowing them to be able to attend to more important tasks.  We take accountability of all the people who want to help search and put them into groups with a minimum of two of our trained searchers.  This allows the civilians to be able to assist in the search, while being under the guidance of trained personnel.

Our team is available to assist public safety agencies on scene with detailed search area maps, accountability of personnel, using GPS units to mark the cordinates of potential evidence and provide assistance in obtaining additional resources that may help in the search.

C.M.S. REACT has provided our search and rescue services to the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Dept., Sheboygan County Sheriff's Dept., City of Manitowoc Police Dept. and the Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources in the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest.
